The package accommodates both frequentist and Bayesian approaches. The frequentist approaches that the package incorporates are the Maximum Likelihood Optimization (MLE) and the Gradient-based Optimization (GDADAMAX). The Bayesian methodologies included in the package are the Bayesian Sampling Importance Resampling (BSIR) and the Hamiltonian Monte Carlo (HMC). The flexibility of choosing between frequentist and Bayesian optimization approaches allows researchers to select the estimation approach which aligns the most with their analytical preferences. authors: - family-names: Arena given-names: Giuseppe email: g.arena@tilburguniversity.edu orcid: https://orcid.org/0000-0001-5204-3326 - family-names: Lakdawala given-names: Rumana email: r.j.lakdawala@tilburguniversity.edu - family-names: Generoso Vieira given-names: Fabio email: f.v.generosovieira@tilburguniversity.edu repository: https://CRAN.R-project.org/package=remstimate repository-code: https://github.com/TilburgNetworkGroup/remstimate url: https://tilburgnetworkgroup.github.io/remstimate/ date-released: '2024-05-16' contact: - family-names: Arena given-names: Giuseppe email: g.arena@tilburguniversity.edu orcid: https://orcid.org/0000-0001-5204-3326
