  "Description": "Provides the boundaries of the provinces, cantons and\nparishes of Ecuador as 'sf' objects, identified by the codes of\nthe national political-administrative division (DPA, \"División\nPolítico-Administrativa\"), ready to be mapped and joined with\nhealth, epidemiological surveillance or other data. The three\nlevels nest exactly and are offered in two resolutions: a light\none for maps and dashboards and a detailed one for spatial\nanalysis. The layers are derived from the open data of the\nTerritorial Organization of the State published by the National\nCommittee of Internal Boundaries (CONALI, Ministry of\nGovernment of Ecuador) under a CC BY licence\n<https://www.datosabiertos.gob.ec/>, and are downloaded on\nfirst use as 'GeoPackage' files, verified and cached locally.\nIncludes a catalogue of DPA codes, a table to update codes from\nearlier versions, helpers to clean codes and place names, and\ntools to relocate the Galapagos Islands in national maps.\nDocumentation is in Spanish.",
