The Run\nPurity Weighted Nearest Shrunken Centroid ('RPWNSC') score\nranks genes by multiplying a run based purity score, which\nmeasures the compactness of class labels after sorting samples\nby each feature, by a scaled nearest shrunken centroid score,\nwhich measures standardized class centroid separation relative\nto within class variation. The top ranked features can then be\nused with downstream classifiers without wrapper search,\nfeature clustering, or classifier dependent training.
