A MOFAT\ndesign is a collection of one-factor-at-a-time (OFAT) designs\nconstructed to achieve maximal screening capability. Song and\nJoseph (2026) extended the\nMOFAT framework to incorporate nominal and discrete numeric\nfactors. The resulting designs are implemented in the mofatQQ\nfunction. Yu and Joseph (2026) \nproposed Space-Filling One-Factor-at-a-Time (SOFT) designs,\nwhich achieve optimal space-filling properties while retaining\nthe screening capability. Therefore, SOFT designs are useful\nfor both factor screening and surrogate modeling.
